Yates Is Firefighter of the Year


Wood River Fire & Rescue Assistant Chief Jeff Nevins congratulates newly named Firefighter of the Year Ryan Yates at the department’s annual Christmas Party, held Wednesday night. Chosen by a popular vote among his peers, Yates, a volunteer firefighter/EMT, has been with the department for two years. “Being on that plaque is pretty neat because of all the accomplished firefighters who are on there,” Yates said.
