Back Where He Belongs

The Sawtooth Club owner Tom Nickel is happy to serve the many patrons attending his re-opening party on Saturday, Dec. 13. After several months of reconstruction from a fire in September, which destroyed Whiskey Jacques’ and Dirty Little Roddy’s on Ketchum’s Main Street, the Sawtooth Club re-opened in time for the holiday season. New construction has given the Sawtooth Club a new look, but it’s still the same old haunt. During last weekend’s party, world-renowned mountain climber Lou Whittaker and his wife Ingrid, gave Nickel a beer stein embossed with the logo of his former bar, the Creekside, in honor of Sun Valley's 50th anniversary. When he unwrapped the glass, Nickel, visibly moved by the gesture, looked around the throngs of patrons and smiled. What goes around comes around.
