Alpine men rumble into Beaver Creek

For World Cup


Six straight years of U.S. Ski Team podium success is on the line this weekend during the 2008 Audi Birds of Prey men's FIS World Cup races at Beaver Creek, Colo. Defending World Cup champion Bode Miller won Tuesday's downhill training.

The men's downhill is scheduled for today, Friday, and will be televised by NBC Sports local channel 7 on Sunday, Dec. 7 at noon Mountain Time. The super giant slalom is Saturday and giant slalom is on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Tuesday's Nor-Am women's downhill at Winter Park, Colo. saw Sun Valley native Hailey Duke finish fourth, two places behind U.S. teammate Sterling Grant of Amery, Wisc. Both Duke and Grant DNFd the second run of Wednesday's women's slalom.
