Rollover victim’s condition improves

A Twin Falls man who was injured last week in a one-vehicle rollover south of Carey was listed in good condition Tuesday at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Hospital spokeswoman Kristen Micheletti said 20-year-old Justin Stewart is now out of intensive care and recovering in the rehabilitation section of the Saint Alphonsus. Stewart was listed in critical condition following the accident on Nov. 23.

The Blaine County Sheriff's Office reported that Stewart suffered a "broken femur and head trauma" in the accident that occurred that morning on U.S. Highway 93 about eight miles south of Carey.

The sheriff's office reported that Stewart was driving a white 1999 Pontiac Sunfire when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, flipped end over end and rolled. The sheriff's office report states that Stewart was ejected from the vehicle and was not likely wearing a seatbelt.
