Beware the 'wackies'

Lefty enviros have accused the Bush administration of substituting ideology for science and there is plenty of evidence to support their accusation, but the enviro-wackies have their own problems substituting superstitious fears for science and actual data, especially in the areas of nuclear power and anthropogenic global warming. France has been producing 80 percent of its energy consumption and as become a net energy exporter using nuclear power. And France is not exporting radioactive wine and cheese. When comparing the total deaths and disabilities resulting from the mining, construction and operation of power plants in the petroleum, coal and nuclear industries, nuclear wins absolutely.

Diddling with human-produced CO2 will have a negligible effect on global warming and a large negative effect on the economy.
