Then suddenly I hear a symphony

The Wood River Community Orchestra string quartet—from left Heidi Copeland, Janice Moulton, Sue Mendelsohn, Dede Morris—plays at Broschofsky Gallery in September. Members of the orchestra will again play at the Gallery, in the Courtyard in Ketchum, at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, for free. There will be chamber music, Latin jazz with Russ Caldwell and a lecture demonstration by Musical Director Andy Lewis. He will discuss Hadyn’s “Military Symphony,” and talk about how jazz is made. “We’re pulling down the barriers,” he said. For more information call Mendelsohn at 726-4870, or Lewis at 928-6448.
