Vote for Prop 1

I have lived in Blaine County long enough to raise two children, watched them head off to college and return home. My husband and I moved here because of the exceptional quality of life. Over the years, we have watched the landscape change as more and more people have moved into the Wood River Valley

I recently heard about Proposition 1, the Land Water and Wildlife Levy, and I am excited to see that our community is proactively working to preserve the places we love—places like the Big Wood and Little Wood rivers. Since Blaine County is one of the fastest growing regions in the country, it is important that we protect our land and natural resources from future development.

Although these are difficult economic times, I feel it is important to preserve these outdoor treasures for future generations. Proposition 1 will preserve the areas we enjoy for our children and grandchildren. The treasured landscapes that drew us here are simply too precious to take for granted.

I urge all Blaine County voters to consider the future of our landscapes and our community. Central Idaho is such a special place to live. Let's keep it that way. Vote yes for Proposition 1.
