Thirteen local figure skaters stormed into Park City, Utah and stole a whole lot of hardware last weekend at Cottonwood Height's Oktoberfest Figure Skating competition.
Every single Sun Valley skater won at least one medal.
For Blair Baker, all three were gold. Arizona Semones, Blake Letourneau and Sheldon Gentling brought home two gold medals each.
All of the kids had a great time competing and supporting each other.
Julianna Lamb was the only skater representing Sun Valley in Test Level events at Oktoberfest. Lamb won bronze in Novice Ladies Freeskate.
In the Basic Skills Freeskate event, Samantha Bunting captured second place competing in Freeskate 4. In Freeskate 2, Arizona Semones won first and Autumn Coulthard third. Tara Ware won Freeskate 1.
Travis Flynt won Basic 8 Freeskate, Group B, while Claire Stickney took third; Blair Baker won Group A, and Christine DuFur placed second. Blake Letourneau won Basic 7, Group A, and Lane Letourneau and Katie Peters took third and fourth place, respectively, in Group B. Sheldon Gentling placed second in Basic 6.
In the Basic Skills Artistic Skating event, Samantha Bunting earned third place at the Freeskate 4 level; Autumn Coulthard, Tara Ware and Arizona Semones placed first, second and third, respectively, at the Freeskate 1-2 level.
Blair Baker, Christine Dufur, Travis Flynt and Claire Stickney took first, second, third and fourth, respectively at the Basic 8 level, while Blake Letourneau, Lane Letourneau and Katie Peters placed first, second and third in Basic 7. Sheldon Gentling won Basic 6.
In the Basic Skills Showcase event, Samantha Bunting won at the Freeskate 3-4 level. In Freeskate 1-2, Arizona Semones won and Autumn Coulthard placed second. Competing at the Basic 7-8 Level, Blair Baker took first place, Christine Dufur second, Travis Flynt third, Katie Peters fourth and Claire Stickney fifth.
And Sheldon Gentling won at the Basic 6 level.
