Whose hatchet job?

In response to your Friday editorial, I think the only hatchet job around here is the one the Express has been performing on Anne Corrock. I've gotten to know Anne pretty well over the last few months and I am constantly impressed by her balance on the issues and her defining goals—that government should be run for the benefit of all its citizens, that it should be performed transparently, and that laws should be upheld no matter how desirable the result of sidestepping them might appear.

I can say from personal experience that the administration run by Randy Hall has serious problems and needs reform. The details of this are numerous and beyond the scope of this letter, but it is clear to me that Randy has strayed from the promises he made during his campaign and settled on a path for Ketchum that is both ill considered and deeply at odds with the welfare of its citizens.

One of the reasons we have laws is to protect those without power from the bad ideas of those who have it. Anne is using the tools available to her under the law to bring balance and transparency back to our government. She deserves the respect and support of Ketchum citizens for her efforts, and she absolutely deserves an apology from you.
