Youth injured in motorcycle crash

A 16-year-old Blaine County boy was injured in a motorcycle crash Friday morning near the entrance to the Country Chalet mobile home park on state Highway 75 south of Ketchum.

The Blaine County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as Noe Garcia. Lt. Jay Davis said Garcia suffered an injured, possibly broken, left ankle and was taken to St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center by his parents.

The accident occurred at about 7:15 a.m. Davis said Garcia was pulling onto the highway when he apparently slid in some loose gravel.

Damage to the motorcycle was estimated at $1,000.
