Results from last Saturday, off the site woodriveryouthfootball.com:

WRYF Seniors: Played a game of endurance and stamina against Crunchtime of Meridian Saturday at Mountain Home. First game of the season was a heartbreaker of a score with Wood River posting a loss of 48-0. Seven players on the team played their first Wood River Football game ever and parents and coaches were very proud.  Special teams excelled with a record of six stellar punts from kicker Eron Bates.

WRYF Freshmen White: On a warm fall afternoon at Mountain Home the White team kept Premier Insurance scoreless for four quarters while notching three touchdowns for a 22-0 season-opening victory.

The offensive line put in a stellar performance to open up the scoring opportunities for Evan Hesselbacher, Cade Schott and Jacob Bulotti.  Asher Loomis transferred the ball seamlessly all day long to QB Schott. Elliot Portillo and Colby Castle anchored the offensive line giants of Cade Street, Tor Dalzell, Cole Rozyla and Zach Nelson.

An interception by Matt Galgano and a fumble recovery by Dalzell kept Premier unable to cross the halfway point. Jett Erickson was responsible for multiple tackles, sacks and pressures on Premier players.

WRYF Juniors: Won 30-0 over Home Mortgage at Nampa.

WRYF Sophomores: Won 20-6 over DNS Specialties at Boise.

WR Freshman Green: Lost 28-14 to Thrifty at Mountain Home.
