Evenings and mornings are darker, and the leaves are changing, so it's about time for local ski shops to hold their Ski Team Nights offering factory-direct pricing on the latest ski equipment from the reps.
The Elephant's Perch Equipment Night: For Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation Comp and Prep teamers is Monday, Sept. 22 from 6-7 p.m. Call 726-3497 for details.
Sturtevants Ski Team Night: Monday, Sept. 29 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Ketchum Main Street store for SVSEF alpine and freestyle athletes, and also for the Hailey Ski Team.
Factory-direct pricing will be offered to athletes and coaches only, though there will be discounted pricing for team members, coaches and parents as well. Ski representatives will attend.
If you can't make it, call Olin Glenne at 726-4501 before Sept. 29 to make arrangements. The final order deadline is Oct. 1.
Pete Lane's Race Day: Saturday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Pete Lane's River Run shop. It's for all SVSEF and Hailey Ski Team athletes, parents and coaches.
Get your free hot dogs at Pete Lane's (622-6124) from noon to 3 p.m. New season lease programs are available from Toddlers to Junior race skis. All October, Pete Lane's will offer free custom footbeds with each purchase of a ski boot.
Again, final order deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 1.
And, if you miss the Team Nights, don't forget that the combined SVSEF/Hailey Ski Team "Ski Swap" is Oct. 17-19 at the Idaho National Guard Armory in Hailey.
