Sun Valley police are investigating two incidents of vandalism in Elkhorn. The first was reported Saturday at The Community School Sagewillow campus and the second Monday on Horseshoe Road near The Bluffs Condominiums.

Sun Valley Police Chief Cameron Daggett said someone painted "love thy neighbor" on Horseshoe Road near its entrance to The Bluffs and stole two portable speed bumps from a private road leading to the condominiums. Daggett said the vandalism and theft may be related to an ongoing neighborhood dispute about speeding in the area.

Damage at the Sagewillow campus was a bit more extensive and occurred Friday night at the upper soccer field prior to a Community School and Wood River High School soccer match.

"The field had been spray painted in Wood River colors with words derogatory to the Community School," Daggett said.

White paint was used on the field and green paint was splashed on the goal posts. "Wood River related graffiti" was also painted on a nearby building, Daggett said.

Most of the damage was cleaned up by 1 p.m. game time. Incidentally, the Wood River Wolverines defeated The Community School Cutthroats 3-0.
