First Class Service

The Ketchum Post Office will lose a friendly and familiar face Friday September 19th when Michael Williams retires after 15 years of service. According to Williams, “The post office has been good to me. I’ll miss all the people I meet in the hallways.” The 63 year-old plans on carving out a new life: “I’ll do some wood-working and I’m going to take up fishing again.” Williams, who has been in the Wood River Valley since 1947, plans on moving somewhere warmer and maintains he would rather spend money on air conditioning rather than heating bills. Williams lives by his mantra by saying and practicing, “never get old, just get older and you will always stay young.”
