In fall, kids still belong at Atkinson Park

Programs keep students busy

The warm mornings and hot afternoons are memories, and all the summer fun is over at the city of Ketchum's Atkinson Park youth program. School is back in session.

But that doesn't mean the "Park Rats" have nothing more to do after schools or on weekends. Atkinson Park is offering an active slate of fall, winter and spring programs.

And it all starts with soccer.

Registration for youth soccer is being accepted through Friday, Sept. 5. Forms are available at Hemingway Elementary School or the Atkinson Park office, 726-7820. Cost is $40.

The program for grades 1-3 meets Fridays and Saturdays from Sept. 5 to Oct. 11. Kids in grades 4-5 will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-4 p.m. from Sept. 9 to Oct. 9.

"Park Rats United" gathers Saturday mornings in Hailey, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Sept. 20 to Oct. 25.
