To play is the thing

Express photo by David N. Seelig A few Renaissance types—from left, Norman Freidman, Conor Zaft and Sean Dahlman—wandered around Festival Meadows in Sun Valley on Saturday entertaining visitors to the ninth annual Sun Valley Renaissance Festival. Jousters, pranksters, jugglers, musicians, players and actors, as well as vendors of all types, managed to keep spirits sunny and lively. “It was really fun,” said Kathy Wygle, artistic director of nexStage Theatre and Sun Valley Shakespeare Festival. “It was great to have the weather nice and people seemed to enjoy themselves. There were tons of people in costume, and the parade from nexStage to the meadow was wonderful, better than ever. We had two beautiful horses in the parade. The Shakespeare Studio play 'Julius Caesar' also went really well.”
