The Neville Brothers brought their New Orleans style of funk and pop to the last of the Sun Valley Center for the Arts Summer Concert Series was held Wednesday at River Run. It began with a farewell from The Center’s Executive Director Sam Gappmayer, who is leaving his position for another at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. The mood shifted from sorrow to funk as Charles (at piano), Aaron (Singing) and Art Neville (center) played several of their best loved popular songs, including “Sitting in Limbo,” “Tell It Like It Is,” “Yellow Moon.” Aaron Neville, of the sublime vocals, finished up the show with a rendition of “Amazing Grace.” The fourth brother, Cyril, was absent, as he was in Japan playing with another band.
