Double standard?

I hope David Reinhard can now match his ideals to what he puts on paper. His last opinion page was exactly the double standard that I have seen in the folks who follow his opinions. I would like to zero in on the statement in his column; "Folks who think that individuals cannot be trusted to protect their own interests or make the best decision for themselves and their world will always find plausible, if attenuated, excuses to turn a traditionally private matter into a public cause celebre."

The point is a good one and one that I have often stated while discussing abortion. If he truly believes what he wrote then let us give women the freedom to do what they want with their bodies. To me it is the most personal matter and is in no way the responsibility of the government to tell women what they can or cannot do with their bodies. Thank you so much Mr. Reinhard for helping me to make my point.
