Hot rods and colorful classics adorned Hailey

The Valley Motor Club hosted its second annual auto show at Hailey’s Roberta McKercher Park Saturday. “Close to 3,000 people went through the show and filled the park all day,” said club president Lowell Thomas, who described his club duties as “Chief bottle washer and Czar.” The Valley Motor Club is a non-profit group with a membership that shares a common fascination with vehicles of interest. They raise money through event sponsors, annual sponsors and dues and turn around and donate most of the money to local needy families. Pictured above are two Shelbys and a 1934 Ford Roadster and typify what Thomas called a “diverse lineup.” Fully 66 cars participated in the show, which also had 37 event sponsors and weathered three different thunder showers.
