A Blaine County man faces charges of misdemeanor DUI and leaving the scene of an accident after he allegedly crashed into a camper trailer northeast of Sun Valley, drove away and was later apprehended drunk behind the wheel on Elkhorn Road.

Police identified the man as 34-year-old Blake N. Luck, "of which he was having none," said Sun Valley Police Chief Cameron Daggett.

The escapade started at about 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, when Luck allegedly hit a camper trailer with his red 1991 Ford Ranger pickup near Corral Creek Road in the Trail Creek area. The owner of the trailer asked people in the area to be on the lookout for the alleged culprit vehicle and it was later spotted on Trail Creek Road headed toward Sun Valley. A witness followed the vehicle into Sun Valley and made a 911 emergency call.

Daggett said Luck was apprehended at about 10:20 p.m. on Elkhorn Road.
