Who can find the duck?

Mountain Express Hide-a-Duck contest begins Friday

Once again, the Idaho Mountain Express is teaming up with the Great Wagon Days Duck Race for the Quack-Quest contest.

Throughout August, a duck will be hidden in Friday editions of the newspaper, and the first person to find it and call the Mountain Express at 726-8060 will win a "six-quack" of ducks for the Wagon Days Duck Race.

Calls must be made during business hours, which begin at 9 a.m.

The Great Wagon Days Duck Race is organized by the Ketchum/Sun Valley Rotary Club, along with the Sawtooth Board of Realtors Community Foundation.

Both of these organizations will be selling ducks for the race, which will take place on Sunday, Aug. 31, with all proceeds going to Blaine County Search & Rescue, as well as various scholarships and projects, including the Community Foundation's Holiday Baskets.

Duck Race prizes include $5,000 in Chamber Choice gift certificates.

To purchase ducks, volunteer or donate, contact the Community Foundation's Janine Baer at 720-1254 or the Rotary's Ben Varner at 721-7481.
