A Turn For The Worse

Two sheriff’s deputies and a Hailey police officer investigate the scene of a single-car crash Monday evening near the mouth of Quigley Canyon on the east side of Hailey. The car, a Cadillac Eldorado, crashed into a stand of aspen trees on private property off Quigley Road at approximately 5:30 p.m. Witnesses heard a revving engine and screeching tires just moments before the crash. Officers at the scene were seeking clues to the whereabouts of one or more occupants of the car, who they believe might have left the scene in another vehicle. Because the car crashed into property located in Blaine County, the sheriff’s office is handling the case. Additional details were not available before press deadline Tuesday. Photo by Greg Foley
