Its time to pull the long gloves out of the back of your drawer. Clean out the extra long cigarette holder and strap on your garters.

Presented by Laughing Stock Theatre Company, "Main Street Cabaret" will be staged for the sixth year in a row at the nexStage Theatre for four nights, Thursday, July 31, through Sunday, Aug. 4. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for refreshments that include appetizers, beer and wine. The show, which will begins at 7 p.m., is done in true cabaret style.

Among the performers who will belt out 25 Broadway show tunes are co-directors Keith Moore, Patsy Wygle and Patty Parsons, Stephanie Feder, Judith McQueen, Sue Noel, Sara Gorby and Jim Britt. As well, there will be numbers by Susie and Cheryl Gambumpa, Steve and Colette Pruitt, Dean Cerutti and Jamey Reynolds, Michael Freilich, Michael Godfrey, Bard Widmer, Alyse Stark, Kristy Kuntz and Rika Pere, Tara Burchmore and Megan Mahoney.

"It's a nice mix of old and new," Moore said. "Kevin Wade and Peter Burke, both 21, bring in new stuff for us."

Indeed, songs will cover the gambit from "The Fantasticks," "Camelot," "Company" and "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," to "Seussical" "Aida" and "The Heights."

A graduate of The Community School, Wade, who is currently being seen in Company of Fool's "Violet" at the Liberty Theatre, will sing. A friend, Peter Burke, will also do a number. Both of them are students at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in New York City.

Billed as the "Alaskan Silver Fox," Bill Tewson (Parson's husband) will accompany the singers on piano.

"We have more trios and duets than we've ever had, which will be fun," Wygle said. "Everyone dresses up. We try to bring a little New York glamour to Ketchum. Think of the Oak Room."

Tickets are $20 at the door or by calling 726-4tks.
