Kick ball kicks off

Two of the Wood River Valley's organizations that promote outdoor health and sports, Mountain Adventure Tours and Sun Valley Adaptive Sports, will jointly present the Sixth Annual Wood River Kickball Tournament, 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26 at Atkinson Park in Ketchum.

"This is a great community event that Mountain Adventure and SVAS put on each year," Development Director of SVAS, Cara Barrett said.

There are currently 10 teams signed up: SVAS, Mountain Adventure Tours, Sushi Jacques, YMCA, Camp Rainbow Gold, Smith Sport Optics, Board Bin, Living Architecture, Raging Rhino's and more.

Each year the teams try to outdo each other for bragging rights and the funniest team costume.

Food for the event will be donated by Atkinsons' Market, Grumpy's, Lefty's and Hayden Beverage, while Atkinson Park is picking up the tab for the field costs.
