"Bring Rotarun into the 21st Century" campaign begins

The 50 year-old Rotarun ski hill in Croy Canyon, west of Hailey, now features the two-story Sun Valley Heli-ski building, relocated from Ketchum this year. The Rotarun Ski Club kicked off a fund-raising campaign Monday to raise $300,000 for a snowmaking system, landscaping and construction projects. Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation Executive Director Don Wiseman said the club has received final approval for its master plan and has secured $240,000 in the bank already. “We are seeking in kind contributions to finish this project,” he said. “Snow-making is the key to consistency at Rotarun. We will be able to open four to six weeks sooner in the fall.” The Rotarun Ski Club will hold a fun run and music concert fund-raiser in Early September at Hop Porter Park in Hailey.
