Mutts drag owners on strut



As part of its annual summer fundraiser, the Animal Shelter of the Wood River Valley hosted its inaugural Mutt Strut in Hailey on Sunday. About 50 dogs and their humans covered a meandering 2.7 mile-route through the Northridge neighborhood and on the bike path. Afterwards an awards party was held at the Animal Shelter Open House. Awards for Dog/Owner look-alike went to Catherine, Oreo and Pink Henry; Best Trick to Crockett Reiss; Loudest Cheer to Cotton Zahn; Best Costume to Abby Seigel; Best Tailwag to Lily Maher (pictured); Best Manners to Teddy Richards; Best Dog Days Pace to Sampson Ros; Fastest Pooch to Gambler Rivers; Best Smile to Sampson Manning; King of Strut to Lucky Mistick; Best Swimmer to Sunny Yates and Slowest to Joanna Parker.
