Ladies bring it on home at Sun Valley

It was beautiful day for golf Wednesday at Sun Valley Golf Club, where the 14th annual Sun Valley Women's Golf Invitational brought out 12 foursomes for some excellent golf shots and some fun socializing.

Chairing the "It Happens in Sun Valley" tournament for a fifth straight year were Beckie Biedebach and Debbie Exley.

First Flight gross stroke winners with a 145 (130 net) were Debbie Albright, Fletcher Olson, Gail Paoli and Nancy Bushell. Taking second gross were Jacque Maritz, Susan Lovett, Rolande Vaughn and Brit Palmedo (154-126).

Winning first net in the First Flight were Arlene Herich, Jennifer Harper,

Teddi Harper and Marilyn Celano (149-124). The second net winners were Ann Warde, Louanne Terry, Jeannine Burns and Gay Emery (159-124).

Other top results:

Second Flight, gross: 1—Susan Black, Karen Morgan, Marilyn Hoffman and Jill Brennan 153. 2—Bonnie Hovencamp, Barbara Shelton, Carole Almond and Ursula Hinson 170.

Second Flight, net: 1—Beckie Biedebach, Sandy McCullough, Joanne Wetherell and Cathy Wellins 157-116. 2—Pat Meadowcroft, Suzanne Manookian, Barbara Dingman and Kristen O'Reilly 180-126.

Closest to the pin winners were Ann Warde on #3, Marilyn Hoffman on #5, Brit Palmedo on #15 and Patricia Meadowcroft on #17.
