Life Church stayed hot, breaking a 4-4 tie with an 11-run fifth and adding 4 more runs in the sixth. Sparking the attack were Tracy Peterson (3 hits, triple, 3 runs) and Mark Mary (4 hits, triple). Life Church: Lacey Peterson, Molly Finegan, Beau Boender, Lacie Anderson and Lynda Martin 2 runs apiece, John Brooks 2 hits, Sean Guisasola double. Evans Plumbing: Steve Hendrix HR, double and 3 runs, B.J. Adams 2 hits (double).

Smith Sport Optics 23, TLC Seeds of Hope 5 (5 innings)

Slugger T.J. Peterson (4 hits, 3 HR, double, 4 runs) had a monster game with 8 RBI for hot-hitting Smith. Smith: Samantha Sisiam 5 hits and 3 RBI, Ryan Wilson 3 hits (double) and 4 runs, Lukus Sisiam 3 hits (double) and 3 runs, Trudy Weaver 2 hits, 3 runs and 2 RBI, Kim Meyers 2 hits and 2 runs, Mike Beall 2 doubles, LeighAndra Roberts 2 runs. Life Church scored in bunches and moved into the upper division with a strong hitting attack, but Seeds of Hope had some hope, too, scoring 14 runs after tallying only 23 in its first six games this summer. Life Church: Lacey Peterson 2 hits and 3 runs, John Brooks triple and 3 runs, Lynda Martin 3 hits and 2 runs, Chad Schiermeier 3 hits (double) and 2 runs, Molly Finegan 3 hits (HR) and 3 runs, Beau Boender 2 hits (double) and 2 runs, Lindsay Boender 2 runs, Kyle Brooks and Casey Gill 2 hits and 2 runs each. Seeds of Hope: Sierra 2 hits and 2 runs, Casey 3 hits (2 doubles, triple), Janet 2 runs, Craig 3 hits (double).

Wicked Spud/Bradley Const. 23, Pioneer West/Swaner Welding 7

League-leading Spud opened with an 8-run first and closed its rout with an 8-run seventh. Spud: Morgan 4 hits (3 doubles, triple) and 5 runs, Dani 4 hits, Jimberly Rooney 3 runs, Huston Brashears 2 hits and 2 runs, Anthony Rooney 3 hits (double). Bishop Builders/Color Haus 20, Power Engineers 4 (5 innings)

Chris Benson (4 hits, 2 doubles, 4 runs) crunched a 2-run HR in the 7-run first and Bishop was on its way to an easy Monday night triumph. Bishop: Kathy Harper 4 hits and 2 runs, Bryan Burrell 4 hits (2 doubles), Keith 4 hits and 2 runs, Jeff Burrell 3 hits (2 doubles) and 5 RBI, Twyla Bulcher 2 hits and 2 runs, Kenny Nelson 3 hits (double, triple), 3 runs and 3 RBI. Smith Sport Optics 25, Evans Plumbing 4 (5 innings)

Smith (19 hits) had big games from its sluggers Sean Harrington (4 hits, HR, double, 4 runs) and T.J. Peterson (3 hits, HR, double, 3 runs, 6 RBI) in taking the run-rule victory and reaching .500 on the season.
