KECH jumped ahead 3-0 with 5 hits in the first—Shannon Flavin (3 hits, double) ripping a 2-run single and Josh Bay (3 doubles) delivering an RBI double. The Nelsons battled back with 3 runs in the second and 3 runs on 4 hits in the decisive sixth, Angie Clark bringing home the eventual winning run with a sacrifice fly. Casino captured its fourth win with a 23-hit attack, piecing together back-to-back 8-run innings in the second and third to seal the run-rule triumph. Leadoff hitter Mark Belanger (4 doubles, 3 runs) led the way and #3 hitter Matt Stacey (4 runs) shredded the ball with bases-clearing HRs his first two trips and an inside-the-park job his third time up. The scrap for the middle-of-the-pack came down to Lefty's just having a little more gas in the tank in the final three innings—Lefty's scoring 10 runs on 13 hits in its final three at-bats to overcome an 8-6 deficit.
