William Frederick Dunbar, 79, died at his home in Ketchum of natural causes on Wednesday, July 2, 2008. He was born Jan. 8, 1929 in California, the son of William and Eunice Dunbar.
After completing three undergraduate college majors in chemistry, math and music, he went on to graduate from the University of Southern California School of Medicine in 1954. After military service in the U. S. Air Force as a Flight Surgeon, he returned to U.S.C. to complete his law degree in 1959.
He was the Senior Partner in the firm of Dunbar and Taylor, specializing in malpractice and product liability. After many years as a trial attorney, he retired to Ketchum in 1979.
Bill was a Renaissance man: a violinist, photographer and fine woodworker.
Bill has no family that survives him but is remembered by his friends who have admired and respected his many talents and kindnesses. He was a loving and loyal friend to Janet Dunbar.
