Fat tires on a Hailey Saturday night

WR Cup closes with state finals


Wood River Cup fat tire mountain bikers pedaled for the final time in competition Saturday night, wrapping up the seventh season of the short track mountain bike racing series out Hailey's Croy Creek.

Pro/Expert men's champion for the season was Greg Randolph with 480 points, while India Wysong (475) captured the women's title. Randolph picked up 200 points by winning Saturday's state final. Rebecca Rusch was Saturday's state women's queen.

Season champions by class included Steve Edsall, Monika Schernthanner, Rory Lynch, Tyler Spence, Haley Montgomery, Cooper Roquet and Luma Randolph. Besides Randolph and Rusch, state champions among the 56 contestants Saturday night were Scott Montgomery, Monika Schernthanner, Rory Lynch, Tanner Josey, Haley Montgomery, Cooper Roquet and Luma Randolph.
