Firefighters quickly extinguished a house fire Saturday night in the Northridge subdivision of Hailey only 10 minutes after it was discovered. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.

The Hailey Fire Department, with aid from Wood River Fire and Rescue and Bellevue Fire, responded to a reported fire on Kintail Drive at 11:17 p.m.

A news release issued by the Hailey Fire Department yesterday reported that fire crews arrived on the scene to find a home's attached garage and its contents "fully involved" in the blaze, with fire spreading to the interior of the house and burning exterior walls. A total of three fire trucks, one ambulance, and 19 personnel responded to the fire. No injuries were reported, yet the home suffered an estimated $100,000 to $120,000 in damages.

"We responded to the fire in about eight minutes," said Assistant Fire Chief Carl Hjelm. "We knocked it down in about 90 seconds."
