A 20-year-old man, reportedly smarting from a fight with his girlfriend, allegedly went on a rampage in Bellevue early Monday morning, smashing a car window with a baseball bat and crashing through a fence when pursued by police.

The Bellevue Marshal's Office reported that Oscar Bedolla-Juarez, no address available, was arrested on suspicion of two misdemeanor counts of malicious injury to property and transported to the Blaine County Jail.

"Some guy had a fight with his girlfriend and I guess he wanted to break someone's window," said Bellevue Marshal Ron Taylor. "He took a baseball bat to a guy's side window and then broke a guy's fence when he was running away."

The marshal's office became involved in the incident when they received a 911 emergency call about a broken vehicle window on Chestnut Street in south Bellevue at 1:44 a.m. Taylor reported that the suspect was still in the area and fled when deputies arrived.

While fleeing, Bedolla-Juarez allegedly tried to break into a shed, which led to another 911 emergency call, ran through a fence and was later found hiding in a parked car on Fourth Street.

Taylor estimated total damage at $950. The marshal said that Bedolla-Juarez could have been charged with a felony had the damage been $50 higher.

He said neither of the victims of the rampage where connected with the suspect or his girlfriend.
