Police investigate Wicked Spud heist

The Hailey Police Department is investigating the theft of a Budweiser beer banner and two large king chess pieces from the Wicked Spud pub on Main Street.

The thefts were reported Monday afternoon.

Hailey police Lt. Steve England said the Bud banner was 4 feet by 12 feet and was stolen from the outside of the building. The chess pieces, one black and one white, were taken from the Spud's outside chessboard, which measures about ten feet by 10 feet.

A 3 feet by 3 feet beer sign was also damaged. England wasn't sure if it was a Budweiser sign but said the culprits were mostly likely trying to steal it too.

"If anyone has seen these, please give us a call at Hailey police," England said.
