Wood River Gun Club, south of Bellevue, was the site of last weekend's 2008 Ducks Unlimited Fun Shoot, sponsored by the Hailey-Bellevue chapter of Ducks Unlimited.

Matt Thornton, chairman of the local chapter that raised money for Ducks Unlimited and raffled off six guns as part of the fun, said, "The weekend was a good turnout and everyone there appeared to have a great time. We're already looking forward to next year's shoot."

Big winner was Juan Goitiandia. He collected a buckle for High Overall (384) and added money clips for winning 200 singles and Saturday's handicap in a shootout. Goitiandia was second place in Sunday's handicap shoot and won a shoot bag. Randy Miller was Sunday's handicap winner.

Ducks Unlimited is the world's largest wetlands and waterfowl conservation organization, with one million members and supporters. Since 1937 DU and partners have conserved 12 million acres of North American wetlands and uplands.
