A good move for Rotarun

I noted the picture of the "Heli-Ski" building that has been moved to Rotarun to be used as a lodge.

There is more than poetic justice to this move and use and I am thrilled for Rotarun.

Steve and Norm Housel built this building for me, as I recall, in about 1974. For many years it was my law office with our home upstairs. The lot on which it stood belonged to one of the original old-timers, Charlie Schock. I bought it from him. He and Herb Pienka had the famed Tram Restaurant in Ketchum.

For many years, I helped the Rotarun board members on legal matters; we would meet at my home in Hailey and figure out how to keep it going, plus fend off various attempts at putting it out of business or taking it over.

It is fitting that this building will now be the ski lodge for Rotarun. Check out the beams and glass in the main room on the second floor; they are beautiful.
