Hail can’t keep mountain bikers from their tracks

39 in Pro/Expert group

Hail, hail, the 85-racer gang was all out Wednesday evening behind Hailey Bike Park for the second event of the seventh annual Wood River Cup short track mountain bike racing series.

Fifteen minutes of hail just prior to the first race created some great riding conditions. The Wood River Cup welcomed its biggest-ever field of 39 riders in the Pro/Expert category won by Cody Peterson.

KB's served food and drink out of the Sun Valley Road & Dirt "Snack Shack" and the post-Cup awards ceremony at Wise Guy Pizza Pie roared onto late into the night. Here are June 4 results followed by series total and class place in parentheses.
