The Advocates for Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault will host its 11th annual gala fund-raising event, "It's The Roaring Twenties," on Friday, June 27, at 5:30 p.m. at the Limelight Room in Sun Valley. It will feature fabulous silent and live auctions with great opportunities for travel, parties and activities provided by supporters of the Advocates.

Proceeds benefit the shelter and services provided by the agency. This year the special raffle package, which in the past has been cars and a motorcycle, will come from Sun Valley Co. and Sturtevants Mountain Outfitters. It will include two season Sun Valley ski passes and a $5,000 gift certificate to Sturtevants. Raffle tickets are five for $100 or $25 each and can be purchased by calling 788-4191. The winning ticket will be drawn at the event. Raffle participants do not need to be present to win, but are encouraged to attend.

The Advocates provides a wide variety of effective services including a 24-hour crisis line, women's support groups, individual counseling, safe transitional shelter, transportation, pro bono legal services and much, much more. The programs are run by 20 paid staff and over 65 volunteers. Services are available in Spanish and English, 24 hours a day, free of charge.
