May 24, 2008, the 4th anniversary 13.1-mile US Half Marathon in Sun Valley, benefiting the Wood River Community YMCA, Wood River Ride Share and Blaine County Recreation District. The event was produced in partnership with the Sun Valley Ketchum Chamber & Visitors Bureau and 2008 Mountain Wellness Festival. A total 119 individual runners (56 men, 63 women) in the half marathon, plus 31 in the 12-kilometer run and 23 in the 5k event for a total of 173 finishers, 49 fewer than last year. Finishing times in minutes and seconds, or hours, minutes and seconds, preceded by name and division finish in parentheses. Among the time improvements over last year's half marathon were Brian Lawler 25:20, Bobby Long 24:49, Heather Guy 5:57, Scott Montgomery 5:37, Jeff Ealey 4:05, Julie Cord 3:31, Julie Carney 3:15, Georgie Montgomery 0:41 and Kelly Eggers 0:13. Paul Kenny had exactly the same time as last year, 1.40:44, but moved up from 18th place to 14th place because the leaders were a bit slower this year.
