School board rehires administrators

The Blaine County School District board of trustees voted to rehire the following administrators at its regular board meeting on Tuesday, May 13:

Jim Lewis, superintendent of schools; Lonnie Barber, assistant superintendent/chief academic officer; Matt Murray, director of curriculum/dual language learners; Angie Martinez, Bellevue Elementary School principal; John Peck, Carey School principal; Tom Bailey, Hailey Elementary School principal; Don Haisley, Hemingway Elementary School principal; Gary St. George, Woodside Elementary School principal; and Fritz Peters, Wood River Middle School principal.

Also, Peter Jurovich, Wood River Middle School assistant principal; John Blackman, Wood River High School principal; Keith Nelson, Wood River High School assistant principal; Lynn Fuger, Wood River High School assistant principal and Blake Walsh, director of student services.

In other business, the board:

·Awarded a contract for the purchase of three school buses for $75,608 apiece to Western Mountain Bus.

·Awarded a contract for the Bellevue Elementary School site work improvement project to Burks Excavation LLC for $715.364.
