Keep Horton on Supreme Court

On May 27, there will be a contested race for an Idaho Supreme Court seat, held by Justice Joel Horton. I have had the privilege of working with Justice Horton and have observed his career as a magistrate, then as a district judge and now as a sitting Supreme Court justice. I first worked with Justice Horton when he was a young deputy prosecutor in Twin Falls and Ada counties. I will always be grateful for his work in securing search warrants in the early-morning hours after Mitchell Odiaga killed two innocent men in Ketchum. But I know Justice Horton better as a citizen and friend. Joel is an extremely intelligent, hard-working individual who has devoted his life to public service.

Many others concur with my views of Justice Horton. In a recent statewide survey of judges and attorneys, Justice Horton received the highest possible rating by greater than a four-to-one ratio than his opponent in four categories relating to integrity, knowledge of the law, judicial temperament and experience. Justice Horton is a respected by all who know him.

Please vote for Justice Horton on May 27.
