For a special, one-night-only performance, Company of Fools will present the dynamic and glamorous singing trio, The Phantom's Leading Ladies, at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey for the theater group's most important fund-raising event of the year.

On Saturday, April 26, at 8 p.m., The Phantom's Leading Ladies—Teri Bibb, Mary D'Arcy and Karen Culliver—will perform Broadway classics, Beatles favorites and much more as soloists and in their signature three-part-harmony sound.

"Every year we do one official board fund raiser," said Company of Fools core company artist John Glenn. "The evening will give us 10 percent of our operating budget, if we have sold out the event over the course of two nights."

The night's event will be much more than a fund raiser, especially since Phantom leading lady Teri Bib is a long-time friend and supporter of the Company of Fools. Bib and core company artist R.L. Rowsey have worked together in a number of performances and enjoy challenging each other, as well as have a mutual admiration for one another.

"Teri came last year and the board wanted her to come back and step it up a notch," Glenn said. "Teri is so talented and is one of those people you dream about working with because she makes you better. You want to step up and work as hard as she does."

The trio brings to the stage not only beauty and talent, but humor and a high quality of musicianship. All three have toured with "Phantom of the Opera," performing the role of Christine for a countless number of audiences. They have such a tremendous following and name for Phantom fans, they are able to use the Phantom name for their act.

"For a number of years, Terri has been with these other ladies," Glenn said. "They were friends and were talking and thought they should put something together because there is a market for their talent. They have been really successful."

The Phantom's Leading Ladies perform for much larger audiences than that of the Wood River Valley, and are a perfect addition for an evening of pops and symphony concerts, Glenn said.

"Each of them was picked personally by Hal Prince (Tony award-winning director of 'Phantom of the Opera') when he did the original production," Glenn said. "We are just so lucky that it gets to be a long-time friend who brings a couple of very talented ladies with her, and that makes it special."

Reserved seats for the Saturday, April 26, concert are $100 each. In addition there will be a dinner at Riccabona's in Ketchum with the trio on Friday, April 25, for $500 per person, which includes VIP seating for the concert and a sneak preview. To make your reservations, call Company of Fools at 788-6520 or 578-9122.
