Skiers get it done in the warm California sun


Mammoth Mountain, California, was the venue for the International Ski Federation's Spring Series. The event, featuring more than 200 of the top young skiers in the nation, started on April 4 and ended Wednesday.

Two races in each discipline, slalom, giant slalom, super G and downhill, were held over a 12-day span. Representing the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation were Miles Fink-Debray, Sean Higgins, Riley Berman, John Radford and Bailey Ireland.

Fink-Debray, a member of the SVSEF's FIS team, consistently finished in the top 30, including 14th place in giant slalom and 17th in slalom.

Results

Fink-Debray: 17-SL, 23-SL, 14-GS, 19-GS, 29-SG, 25-SG, 30-DH.

Higgins: 24-SL, 38-SL, 54-GS, 54-GS, 45-SG, 65-DH.

Radford: 39-SL, 45-SL, 82-GS, 64-GS, 63-SG, 75-SG, 59-DH.

Ireland: 66-GS, 76-GS. 67-SL, 70-SL, 81-SG, 70-SG.

Berman: 62-DH.
