Cutthroats in contention at Club 93

With a fourth place performance Peter Atkinson led The Community School to third place in the team standings at the Valley Invitational golf meet Tuesday.

Teeing up at Club 93 near Jerome, Atkinson, a junior, fired an 18-hole 80, to finish three strokes behind the individual medalist, J.D. Jiminez of Kimberly.

Kimberly's quintet of Jiminez, Gage Huft (78), Sam Wasko (82), Duston Brown (83) and Dalton Harmon (84) all finished in the top ten. Kimberly won the team title with a four-man total of 320. The Declo Hornets finished second with a 332. Ketchum/Sun Valley was third with a 369, Gooding fourth at 370 and Valley fifth at 404.

Spencer Harris, Taylor Riviello, Cody Boeger and Bob Mollineaux rounded out the Cutthroats' lineup for coach Harry Weekes.

Next up for The Community School duffers is the Declo Invitational at Rupert Country Club on April 15.
