Hilton Dean Willingham


Hilton Dean Willingham, a Hailey resident for 25 years, died on April 4, 2008, at his home in Hailey. He was 50.

Dean was born in Afton, Calif., on Dec 5, 1957, to Pinkney Alfred Willingham and Wynona Louise Willingham. He was an accomplished mechanic and worked on a wide range of vehicles and machinery throughout his life. He got his start while in the service working on helicopters. After, he pursued further training from the College of Southern Idaho and then moved on to Sun Valley Co., maintaining the snow cats used to groom the local ski mountain. Later, he worked for Sutton & Sons doing custom work and installations on high-end vehicles.

He was also an avid gunsmith and spent his free time hunting, shooting and spending time with his grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Friday, April 11, at 4 p.m. at the Wood River Chapel in Hailey.
