A second accused drug dealer from a methamphetamine bust in Bellevue last December has pleaded guilty to possession of the drug with intent to deliver.

Angelica Castrajon-Luna admitted to the crime Monday to Judge Robert J. Elgee in Blaine County 5th District Court. Elgee advised the 19-year-old Jerome woman that the crime is punishable by up to life in prison, even though the prosecutor in the case will recommend a five-year prison sentence with two years to be served before Castrajon-Luna would be eligible for parole.

The guilty plea was in accord with a plea agreement with the Idaho Attorney General's Office, which is prosecuting the case at the request of the Blaine County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Castrajon-Luna is the victim in another Blaine County felony case and prosecution was transferred to avoid conflict of interest between the two cases.

Castrajon-Luna was arrested by the Blaine County Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Bellevue Marshal's Office on Dec. 14 at the High Country Motel in Bellevue.

Arrested along with her was Karl J. Valencia, a 30-year-old Jerome man who has spent most of his adult life in prison. At the time of the arrest, Valencia was free on parole from a Twin Falls aggravated assault conviction in 1996 for which he was sentenced to 16 years behind bars. Parole was revoked following the Bellevue bust and Elgee added two years to his prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting delivery of methamphetamine.

Castrajon-Luna, who told Elgee that she is a U.S. citizen, acknowledged her guilt at Monday's court hearing.

"I pleaded guilty because of the things that I did that were wrong," she said. "I came up here with methamphetamine to deliver."

Sentencing was scheduled for 9 a.m. on May 19.
