Don’t make us Aspen

I think the majority of Ketchum residents moved here because of the atmosphere and character of a great community. They voted and passed a comprehensive plan that dictated our ordinances. Now a few elected and appointed bureaucrats plus a "Washington-type" campaign want to "Aspenate" this town.

These life changes should only occur if the voters of this community vote for a new comprehensive plan. If the majority want a high-rise valley then I will accept it and shut my mouth or move. If the majority want to protect the character of Ketchum and the reasons we love it, then the bureaucrats and the "smoozers" should do the same.

My recommendation for more bodies with economic energy in town is more 48 Straight, Wagon Days, Trailing of the Sheep, etc., with promotion by Ketchum-Sun Valley Chamber of Commerce.
