For 20 years I have approved your column. The last two I cannot believe. Hillary Clinton is our best candidate; she's a fighter as are most women. She won't run and hide in Nebraska—she will stand her ground for the people.
Of course, she will need everyone's help. Just pray she has your help as a loyal Democrat.
Here's a view that was published in the South Dakota press that I think says it all about Obama, and McCain is not worth a mention.
Sen. Obama is not qualified to run a Wal-Mart. He is an amazing public speaker. He's eloquent and seems to have a million-dollar smile. But experience, he has none. He is a done-nothing junior senator who has managed nothing. He's never run an economy before, and he's never run a company. He's never even managed a Burger King.
There is nothing new about a pledge for "change." It's been a word in nearly every election since George Washington. The difference is that those who preached it before had experience and a proven track record of success. This success and experience in judgment under fire should be a prerequisite for any presidential candidate. After all, it is not a popularity contest.
Mr. Obama, we Americans are on to you. You're not smiling because you're so nice; you're smiling because you're not quite sure what's going on. You are a great motivational speaker, nothing more and nothing less.
