As a result of its emphasis on climate change and education outreach, the Ketchum-based Environmental Resource Center has added two new AmeriCorps members to its staff.

Climate Protection Coordinator Kyle Livingston will serve an 11-month term at the ERC. He will work to implement a climate protection program in the Wood River Valley. His primary goal will be to help the governments of Hailey, Ketchum and Blaine County assess their current carbon emissions through a baseline inventory, as well as craft an action plan to find cost-effective ways to reduce those emissions.

Community Outreach Coordinator Megan McGowan is also on an 11-month term. She will be working on the environmental education outreach programs in the Blaine County schools and youth programs, including the ERC's summer EcoCamp.
