Spring is a good time to start a fitness program, and having an objective helps.
A weekly training program aimed at preparing athletes of all abilities to join the Redfish Lake Olympic and Sprint Triathlon on Saturday, June 21, is being offered at the Wood River Community YMCA, Ketchum.
The weekly training sessions conducted by experienced triathletes begin Saturday, March 29, and will be held each Saturday from 8-9:30 a.m. through June 14 at the YMCA.

Attend Saturday's initial session and you'll learn about the incentives and prizes such as race registration fee refund, free wetsuit rentals and a weekend stay at Redfish Lake Lodge. You'll also receive details about training schedules, support and workout groups.
Calling itself the most scenic mountain triathlon in the world, the first Racing for Recovery Redfish Lake Olympic and Sprint Triathlon is planned for June 21 starting at 9 a.m. at Redfish Lake Lodge.
Two courses will be offered—an Olympic distance triathlon (1.5k swim, 40k bike, 10k run) and sprint triathlon (500m swim, 20k bike, 5k run). Local sponsors include Redfish Lake Lodge, Zenergy at Thunder Spring and The Elephant's Perch of Ketchum.
